just got a note 2...a litte late to game but

just want to say Hello. Just picked it up like 3 days ago. im loving it so far. went from Galaxy Nexus on vzw to Note 2 on tmo. :D i was on DF forum before but now looking to be more active on this forum...looking to learn about this device and contribute where i can. :)
 
I just picked mine up yesterday. I'm glad that the S4 was sold out because I was pretty much set on the Note 2, but still was interested in the S4. Love the N2, and I just came off of 6 years of iPhone, so the learning curve is a little high. Having fun trying to figure this out!

It is the best phone as far as I'm concerned. I just wish S-voice was a better app and that you could operate it from a PIN or patterned lock-screen. The phone offers amazing productivity and social networking options.

Yeah, i didnt know how i lived without the note 2 before. LOL Im a bit of a heavy user but the battery has lasted me a full day from 6am to about 10ishpm until it shut down. For those of you that had the phone for awhile now, does the battery still hold a charge well?

my home screen is stock, i'm still trying to figure out some of these preloaded apps from TMo and samsung. Not sure if should disable them. I noticed the stock msg app doesnt do group texting, is this correct? if so its not a big deal, i get a 3rd party app just wanted to make sure since i cant find the group function.
 
I went from a GS3 to a Note 2 LTE when I was overseas..using it here I wouldve lost 4g so I took the opportunity to get a S4...im loving it... Of course I miss using my Note 2 but this is a nice trade off
 
My batteries (3 of them) hold charges very well. I get anywhere from 15-20 hrs off a single charge..... sometimes more than that depending on how much I use it.

I don't know anything about your carrier but from a form factor they all look the same but once the carrier starts screwing with the internals there's no telling what your phone is capable or not capable of doing.

With that said I'm able to group text using the stock messaging app. When you click the people icon to insert a recipient you'll see group in there.

Same here. I just got my note 2 today. Upgraded from Droid Razr.. I've viewed so many videos and tips and tricks regarding the note the past few weeks I'm overwhelmed at where to begin with my phone.. Lol..
 
This phone is amazing! I've had it now for a few weeks and, it gets better and better every day!

The pen is pretty cool and I've been slowly getting used to the features on this thing. Way more than just a pen! Watching the masters on this screen was very impressive btw.
