Mine is a 42/09 (whatever that means).
It is when the phone was manufactured. The 42nd week of 2009 (Mid October). It's a common format for electronic devices.

Mine is a 39/09! Oh no!
I haven't had any battery problems or anything though.
something doesn't seem right...i have 16/09?!?!?![]()
. With normal use (texting, web browsing, no phone calls), it's at about 50% after about 7 hours. The virtual keyboard does seem a little laggy at times though but maybe it's like that for all models?Am I the only one with a 38/09? I think mine's decent, but then again I don't really have anything to compare it to. With normal use (texting, web browsing, no phone calls), it's at about 50% after about 7 hours. FINALLY! Thought I was the only 38/09 owner on this entire forum!
But yeah, strangely enough, in another thread I talked about how the only issue I'm seeing is that the landscape virtual keyboard lags when I try to type fast. Everything I typed still gets through but it doesn't hilight every key as I press it. I think maybe I'll get a return and get a newer one... when my return date is closer though. Costco gives me a month to return this thing and I figure it's better to get an even later model.![]()
Whew I was worried myself of being a 38/09.... So far so good. I get pretty good battery life. My only real problem was having to restart the unit checking for my date to reset one of my POP mail accounts that was hung up...
So i got my droid on launch day. i really love the phone but the battery life was concerning me. wasn't able to make it through a day with medium use. so i took it into the verizon store and asked what was up. she noticed my connection was dropping intermitently so she updated the cell sites and told me to try that and come back tomorrow and she could do a battery test on it. so i took it back today and had the battery test done (3 hours of waiting) and the battery seemed to be fine but the rep went ahead and replaced the whole unit and battery.
so here is where the interesting part comes in. the battery life on this new unit seems to be a lot better, but also the keyboard clicks A LOT BETTER! in addition to that the screen seems to be brighter on full brightness. so i looked at the version and the first one i had was a 41/09 and this new unit is a 42/09. i don't know if the 41/09 is having issues with signal loss of what but that would deffinately account for poor battery life in the unit.
now incase you guys think maybe i'm just wishing the keyboard feels better i handed it to my roomate (who is an iphone user) and he confirmed it clicked a lot easier and nicer.
just thought i'd put this out there and see if anyone else can confirm this. i haven't had a chance to run it a full day and see just how much better the battery life is but tomorrow i will and report back
