I had my original Ally for a year and it was rooted and running Velocity 1.1. It bugged out and i put it back to stock and got a replacement. The replacement is running 2.2.2 ZVE. To get it back rooted and running Velocity do i just follow this http://androidforums.com/ally-all-t...-3-2011-3-40-pm-est-now-easier-than-ever.html ? Or is there a different route i have to take since its already on 2.2.2?

What dautley said, the guide downgrades to 2.1 zv6 to get fastboot then flashes velocity 1.0, it uses LG mobile updater to do this. Alot of the time this acts funky and you may need to use LGNPST to downgrade then pick back up in the 2.2 root guide.

well then hope you never need it and if your recovery gets screwed and you bootloop lgnpst works it usually does. But why chance it? But you can go ahead and use gingerbreak to root.
PS i can personally remember at least 4 instances where the recovery got deleted or scrfewed in some way and the person was in a bootloop. Real easy fix with fastboot. Some had it. Some didnt and one came up just now i would seriously reconsider.
