Root just installed CM7 and theres no market?

just installed CM7 and theres no android market, theres no way to update PRL or profile, and i cant add my google account for my contacts? did i miss something?
 
Hello. You need the Gapps zip file. Flash that from recovery.

CM7 is an AOSP rom, and those roms don't have PRL or profile powers.
You can add your google account. Menu > Settings > Accounts & Sync.

You must have just somehow missed the automatic setup..? Not sure, I've always been prompted for all my google info when first launching the rom.

There was no setup with this rom... and the accounts and sync kept saying that the setup couldn't finish. Im about to load mike 2.55 and see if i like that better.
 
Okay.

If you want to try CM7, I'd wipe cache and davlik. Sounds like something went wrong. Might even be a bad download.

yeah, a long time ago google sent a cease and desist letter to the cm team and so they had to remove the google apps (gapps)from there roms. so you have to flash them separately. in the rom/kernel sticky there is the gapps file that has the vvm included.
