Root just lost with clocking

let me start off saying that i have purchased both apps and have nothing to say about any. i just have a little confusion about their uses.

i have quickclock advanced and overclock (jrummy). i have previously posted that i have followed the guidelines as it pertains to using quickclock and importing/exporting the file saved.

im confused because i have noticed a lot of people using both apps in conjunction with each other. from what i gather, you would used quickclock to find the values and transfer those values to overclock. right? the confusion is mainly about if BOTH apps are needed? are they bascially the same as far as function (overclock/undervolt..etc)? can you use just one of the apps by itself?

Overclock handles the frequency scaling better and has a lot more options. Most people use it as the "one stop shop". Some choose to use quickclock to find the best speeds and vsels for their device. Overclock doesn't have this option. So people use quickclock then import to to overclock and customize from there.

Exactly what I do...I used to use quick clock exclusively...but tried Droid Overclock and the phone seems to run slightly smoother...so I use QC to find the values...and put them into DOC
