Not to speak for shawheim but just to speak on this because I'm 100% sure -
As he pointed out, he's doing the best he can with a borrowed camera and we're all grateful.
But the
only way to do exact screen resolution comparisons - or more importantly to draw good conclusions when you're not holding the phone - is with screen shots posted at full resolution, and then viewed at full resolution.
Where resolution is concerned, you're really getting differences in subpixel resolution then translated through the resolution of a separate camera, then translated through the jpeg compression of that camera, then translated through our website and your browser to whatever size you're viewing those pictures in.
Next - remember what happens when you take a picture of any screen updating at 60 Hz with a still camera. Unless you get lucky on the timing and it all syncs up, the picture will show pixelization that doesn't effectively exist.
I totally hope I'm not coming across in any way harsh - just a friendly point-out that the medium can only go so far here.
Same thing on final color comparisons - for that, you need a gamma-adjusted monitor on your PC to view the screen shots.
For my personal opinion, I'll just say these photos sure make the Photon look tip top to me and I can't wait to see one in person!!
