Root Just Rooted Phone for First Time

So I just rooted my TB, have never done this before, but was so incredibly sick of the stupid crap that stock was causing, I decided it was time to have some fun with the phone! But now.. I'm looking at the list of ROMs.. and Kernals.. and Mods.. and I have no idea where to even start!

What should I do!?!? I don't even know what ROMs to try out.. I'm so lost.

Welcome to the Dark Side. Now meet us all at the pool on the roof ;) Not to be "that guy", but you should have thought about which ROM/Kernel you wanted to flash BEFORE rooting. I would suggest running a ROM that's pretty similar to stock, which is what you're used to. Das BAMF 1.7 nte (first link in the post) is a good starting point. I'd stay away from Kernels for the time being.

I'm actually trying out BAMF Remix 1.7.. I have GingerRemix downloaded, cause I wanted to try out the new radio, but I'm really not sure I'm ready for that! haha

Now I'm sorta angry though... before I rooted I was having a problem "downloading apps" from the Market. I did my research and have done every single thing every single guide tells me to do.. clearing cache of Market, data, uninstalling updates, but for some reason after all of those, AND the new ROM it is STILL not allowing me to download apps!?!?! I would use the Amazon app store for now until it can be fixed, but there are some apps I can only get from the Android Market!

All of a sudden my phone was 100% ok and I am currently running bamf 1.7 remix... Pretty sure Google or Verizon was tolling me last night.
