Root Just rooted using Z4Root, do I shut off usb debugging now?

Lurker
I'm new to rooting and it seemed to go through fine on the first try. Superuser showed up in the apps but I wanted to know do I go back into setting and shut off debugging and the application: unknown sources?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

No, keep it on. You need it for important root apps like Titanium Backup. I highly recommend it.

Hi all-
I am new to the forum. I am using the Droid l android version 2.2.2.
I recently installed the z4root apk on my phone. It loads correctly and I can go into the software, click permanent root, but once i do that, it will go through the process up to the acquiring the root shell then it shuts down with the error "z4 root has shut down unexpectedly.." I then have to force quit. What am i doing wrong??? I know the software is suppose to install busybox to but that is will not load as well. I have tried several times, I even removed the battery to re-attempt. I want to use the titanium back-up but I cant until I root my phone. Any help would be great!!!

Thanks in advance!!

try a battery pull and fresh startup, then run Z4 immediately after boot, usually it works if you do that, if there is too much running in the background, it FCs
