like i've posted a couple of times now, i've had my droid x for almost 2 months. starting to download apps more and more, and modding my phone. was wondering should i install an antivirus or security program? any suggestions greatly appreciated. thanks guys

Lookout mobile security, has anti virus and tracking for a lost phone. Dont leae home witout it.

I had Lookout for a long time. Then I saw some stuff people were talking about saying it lowered battery performance. I never saw any proof of this. But I figured it really wasn't doing much of anything for me. So I uninstalled it. Can't say it helped my battery any by doing so, but I've also never seen a single virus before or after I got rid of it.

So in my opinion it's dead weight.

Just an FYI, I've had lookout for months and have excellent battery performance - about 2 days between charges with moderate use. I'm also running the free version but it seems to have everything I need and want (security, backup, missing device). Try it and see what you think - you can always remove it if you don't like it.

I keep putting it on and taking it off now and again....yep, bout all I can say....lol
