K2_CL Boost To Recieve 4.4 KitKat

That is correct, you read the title as clear as ice. Boost and HTC are skipping out on the 4.2.2 update and are going straight to 4.4 KitKat. As it stands, this is only being spoken about strictly for Boost Mobile (K2_CL). It may be possible for the others, but no word on that as of now.

Edit: All K2 variants are expected to receive 4.4 with Sense 5.5

Wow, I was wondering what the delay was with 4.2.2 & sense 5. Certainly felt we boost users were getting rooked and seriously considered jumping ship. This gives me pause if it is true.

It is in fact true. HTC has already updated their website to reflect that we are indeed getting 4.4 KitKat. We are scheduled to get it at the end of March. As of now, still no word about the others. Seems this is still only for Boost Users. Waiting on legit resources to confirm for the others but nothing that which can be set in stone on their part, so its a waiting game for them.

HTC could easily make it available to others, but if you are with a provider like Boost, T-Mobile, etc, etc, then ultimately it is up to those providers and not HTC.
 
In this case, Boost Mobile and HTC decided to go for 4.4 KitKat. As it stands, there is no 'legitimate' comfirmation in regards to Cricket users and those who are international. Though, it is possible they can get it as well. Time will only tell.

He is a valuable resource who can usually be trusted, but because he has no official affiliation with HTC that technically does not make him 'legitimate'. At best we can have high expectations, but still, with no guarantees.

he works at the server company that HTC uses for the OTA updates.....

his sources are legitimate= he's legit...

my opinion but I never doubt what he says about updates
 
Hmmm... Just went to view the HTC website for any possible updates. Seems we have been removed from the list of KitKat updates and placed back in for 4.2.2 integration.........

Can anyone else verify that it isn't my phone giving a false display on my screen lol
 
Well that sucks Lol. It should at least be in the certification mode by now. They couldn't have just thrown out all their progress after more than half a year of working on bringing this phone to 4.2.2, literally a joke.

I was kinda wondering the same. But it could have been a big typo/error

The site previously had k2_cl listed as already having 4.2.2

Perhaps whoever updated the page just assumed?

Somebody contact HTC and see what the deal is with 4.4. Just a couple of days ago they said we were getting it and even had us on the list for it?
 
Hey there guys, I just got conformation today from HTC USA and they said that there was a website error. It was confirmed that we will receive the KitKat update, and that we will receive guys :-). I have proof. I screenshot a picture from the reply I received from HTC and they said that it will be expected in April
