Keep The "V" or Switch To The Venture

I was thinking about switching....i like the physical keyboard part, because i can barley text with my V, and remarks comments on this phone would be great!
 
I'm also interested to see any responses. With the exception of those folks that want a physical keyboard, what advantages does this device have over the Optimus V?

(another 600mhz processor. Yay.)

Your right! I wanna see also, I dont think im switching just yet though, I'll wait untill my V breaks or somthing! But yeah, the Venture offers NOTHING diffrent than the V other than its keyboard...I think Virgin Mobile is going to lower the price of the V because of the new Venture...just wait haha!
 
I use a stylus I got at Staples that is for Touch Screens. Even with Hackers Keyboard's small keys (full keyboard in the same space as the Android keyboard) It is no problem. No mistakes.
 
Is everyone forgetting about the Optimus Slider? It's basically an Optimus V with a keyboard. I've read another thread similar to this one about people considering the Venture mainly because of the keyboard, but not a word pops up about the Slider. I'm not going to say that, to me, the Venture looks like a steaming pile of *bleep*, but...i don't know how to finish this sentence. I've been considering for a long while of getting 2 Sliders for some family members rather than V's because of the keyboard. As for me, i'm patiently waiting for a worth while phone to come out (one with a screen bigger than 3.2" for crying out loud!) and the Venture doesn't give me even a microscopically detectable hint of temptation to switch.
 
I would NOT recommend the Venture.
If you must get a keyboard, get the Slider.

The only people I would even consider recommend the Venture to is Blackberry owners who want to switch to Android.
 
I struggled with the V's keyboard, but the app Perfect Keyboard solved the majority of my issues. I even paid the $4 for it so I could get the advanced feature of auto-correct (u = you, r = are, etc..)
 
I agree with HannibalX.

I nearly always hit the microphone key and then dictate for text messages. email and searches. It is a wonderful feature. I rarely have to type.
