Root Kernal for battery life

Guys,

Need a kernal for battery life what is the best one? Also what is the best app to monitor battery life?

jt has an undervolt kernel in rom manager that you may want to check out. personally if im concerned with monitoring battery i flash a theme with battery percentage built in

jmckins basically you want anything uv. I think since 11/15 jt has had uv option on his kernels, geeknik's 1.2.3 is also uv, they are practically the same thing so either is fine. Also once you have it make sure you have setcpu and use conservative scaling as its the best for battery life, and if you really wanna get crazy with battery life, underclock down to 800Mhz, you will barely notice the speed difference but could see even a bit more battery life

I've been using the SuperDark Rom with he Stupid-fast kernel and I am getting SUPER battery life. I went about 13 hrs yesterday and was still at 59% before I put it on a charger. I normally get far less and I actually used the phone more than normal yesterday also. So real happy with that ROM and Kernel.

PS this isn't even a UV kernel

I downloaded the stupid fast kernel straight from website onto my phone. Is this all I do or do I have another step. Please advise.

Do I not have to install it somehow. I downloaded ASTRO how to do I install it to phone?

kernels must be flashed in clockwork recovery. cwr must be pushed to your phone with 0din3.

once in clockwork you pick install from sdcard...navigate to the file and click yes...then reboot

Someone please explain this in regular words...........To use clockwork, you can reboot recovery and Rom Manager, or cold boot into recovery (power off phone, power back on while holding both volume keys). If you cold boot into recovery you need to select apply update.zip and it will launch ClockworkMod.
