Root Kernel crash

Thanks @iowabowtech I've put some feelers out to check if this should be safe before going ahead. It also worries me that if something does go wrong adb doesn't work on MM so if I lose recovery will be properly stuck I think.

Yes unfortunately it has been a known issue wince the start but they hid away from it. A petition was started yesterday that @El Presidente linked here, guess that means they finally took note. Up to almost 1500 now. I wonder if they do recall them they will still accept responsibility with the "Bootloader: Unlocked" badge at the top...
However I have tried the full 20B flash suggested above and bootloop.

I can only conclude then that you are suffering from the hardware issue that has been admitted by LG. With a full 20B now applied, there can really be no unmet prerequisites or incompatibility issues that are causing the problem. As to whether they will repair unlocked bootloader devices remains to be seen. IMO, they should for the reason that it's a known hardware issue not related to bootloader unlock, root, etc. But I'm not LG so... :)

Brilliant. So I still contact ee and they will sort it through lg for me then seeing as mine was upgrade through them? I'll be giving them a call this week then :)

Happened to me again. Same ROM, updated version.

I think I'll flash CandySix or Bliss pop when I get in from work.

Have you called EE? Did you get anywhere?

Hmm, very strange.
Actually just got my replacement delivered again. This time though they aren't charging as LG admitted fault. They also gave the the back too, last time it was just the phone.
But I asked when I talked with them if I could have one with a build after Sept and she said they would. First one was 505, then 506, this one is 507...I really hope I don't get problems again...

Cool, cheers. I'll wait until it starts bootlooping permanently before I call them. You never know, it could be something to do with the RR ROM?

What about the battery? Did they take that?

I was wondering that seeing as it's happened to you a couple of times. Think I'll try and leave it a while before rooting again anyway and see if it happens again.
No, just the phone and leather back. When I opened the box to check the phone I saw it had the case and said "oh I'll go grab my back too" he said no, keep it as a spare :)
