Root [KERNEL] DamianGTO Ultimate kernel (version 1.3 Beta 3) **2011-04-09**

Well they have not show any response on a week. But I have other plans:-p

Makes sense, since as I said before, this site/forum really isn't about modding and ROMs or file downloading. I don't think they would give Damian (or any member) special privileges like unlimited uploading. It just isn't what is done here.

As for bringing members in, I doubt it is in the hundreds, but even so, our good friend Damian and his fans have proven to be a bit...ummm...controversial in other forums.

I am looking forward to seeing what secret project Damian is cooking up...since this is a fine forum, but not the right fit for what he (and hopefully Simone) are trying to do.

hey man! there is no DL link for the beta3 !

Yeah there`s nothing there...

**** Here I will publish all future beta and Release candidates ****
All information on them will still be in the first post.

Hi all, Just would like to bring my phone to the newest Froyo status. Currently I am using the 1.2 and have the Fufotweaks on it as well. No lagfix and the whole thing is really smooth and stable. So can I use the Fugotweak with the 1.3 beta3 as well? Thanks for your input Boris03

Praveen uploaded it to a new location, so thank him...

Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: DamianGTO_Ultimate_kernel_V1_3__BETA_3__340HZ_CWM.zip

As for the original locations, I have a feeling their sudden deletion is connected to Damian's new plans...all we can do is wait and see.

If you used it with 1.2 then I would imagine you can use it with 1.3 as well. Damian said that he didn't think it would give any performance boost with his kernel, but if it is working for you, then good for you.

Why not? Try step by step, start with 25uv and if your phone don't freeze go next step, when your phone freeze, go back one step and stay

With my phone I use 1200 mhz with 25uv

25 undervolt:
1280 MHZ : 0 UV
1200 MHZ : 0 UV
1120 MHZ : 0 UV
1000 MHZ : 25 UV
800 MHZ : 25 UV
400 MHZ : 25 UV
200 MHZ : 25 UV
100 MHZ : 25 UV

50 undervolt:
1280 MHZ : 0 UV
1200 MHZ : 0 UV
1120 MHZ : 0 UV
1000 MHZ : 50 UV
800 MHZ : 50 UV
400 MHZ : 50 UV
200 MHZ : 50 UV
100 MHZ : 50 UV

75 Undervolt:
1280 MHZ : 0 UV
1200 MHZ : 25 UV
1120 MHZ : 25 UV
1000 MHZ : 50 UV
800 MHZ : 50 UV
400 MHZ : 75 UV
200 MHZ : 75 UV
100 MHZ : 75 UV

100 undervolt:
1280 MHZ : 0 UV
1200 MHZ : 25 UV
1120 MHZ : 25 UV
1000 MHZ : 50 UV
800 MHZ : 50 UV
400 MHZ : 75 UV
200 MHZ : 75 UV
100 MHZ : 100 UV

125 undervolt:
1280 MHZ : 25 UV
1200 MHZ : 25 UV
1120 MHZ : 25 UV
1000 MHZ : 50 UV
800 MHZ : 75 UV
400 MHZ : 75 UV
200 MHZ : 75 UV
100 MHZ : 125 UV

But what it should means?

125 undervolt (so you set this it in kernel?):

1280 MHZ : 25 UV (and now what is it means? you set 125 so? why 25? how you test it)
1200 MHZ : 25 UV
1120 MHZ : 25 UV
1000 MHZ : 50 UV
800 MHZ : 75 UV
400 MHZ : 75 UV
200 MHZ : 75 UV
100 MHZ : 125 UV

Sorry for this stiupid question but I can't find an answer anywhere.

The higher the frequency the less stable the CPU is. Therefore, the under volting scales in relation to the frequency. 125UV is only applicable to 100mhz while only 25UV is all the the phone can do at 1200mhz.

Hi, Just to be mentioned my Galaxy is absolutely stable with 1200MHz and 50 UV since weeks no problem at all. Why should that be different for others. I am using no lagfix - this is also not necessary and only brings probs when you update and, and, ... and by the way I have no lags - why do I need a lagfix?

If your happy then u don't

@Damien

I had some wi-fi errors .
Tried latest speedmod and had no wi-fi errors at all???.

Now on beta 3 i still sometimes have the Wi-Fi error.

No big problem but is it caused by something in your kernel?

I just tested wifi on my SGS and no problem here, so it must be something else.

Ok, but what means that I can use 125uv set in kernel on 1,2 GHz?

125 works only when my CPU use 100 MHz?
and when CPU start use 1200 MHz, my UV automatically go to 25?

Is there any app which can tell me what my UV (or some info about voltage) is?

1.- Yes, you can use all UV options with all CPU frecuencies. 800mhz, 1000mhz, 1120mhz, 1200mhz and 1280mhz

2.- Yes, each frecuencie need different voltage. For example: 125uv option with 1200mhz:

100mhz/950mv - 125mv = 825mv
200mhz/950mv - 75mv = 875mv
400mhz/1050mv - 75mv = 975mv
800mhz/1200mv - 75mv = 1125mv
1000mhz/1275mv - 50mv = 1225mv
1200mhz/1300mv - 25mv = 1275mv (1120mhz and 1280mhz use the same voltage)

3.- No, the only way to know wich UV is the best for your phone is testing

Do you understand now???

No that's not a kernel issue.
Also I never had any problem with wifi and I do use it most of the day.

Yeah, mine works fine on 1280 OC and 100mv UV. 125mv UV crashed it and I actually needed to run a restore after that (EXT4+EXT2 loops). The moral of the story... make backups before messing with shit. ;)

Tell me you have an extended battery... mine only lasts for so long with wifi on, tends to get hot too. I have a Momax 2700mah on order and it should be here in a few days....

Yes a backup is a must when messing with settings. Lol.

I use my original battery and don't have any problem with it.

My job fluctuates in terms of what's going on so during the summer months, I need something to do for up to eight hours a day. I've read good things on xda about it and figured it was worth the expense. Since I can UV 100mv , it should last with heavy use (gaming and surfing the web) for at least as long as a full work day.

Yes it should not be a problem, but a extra battery is not wrong to have in the pocket. That way there is not any chance that the phone is dead for no battery :-)
Also try UC it to 800MHZ to get more battery time.
