Root [Kernel][GB] H426 - BDTweaks now on Google Play (06/24/13)

First you are not supposed to flash Ice Cream Sandwich kernels to Gingerbread roms. Second in order to get out of the boot loop you need to flash a Gingerbread kernel back, get into cwm and flash a back up (if any) if not then flash a GB kernel.

Also you misspelled kernel and if you cant get into cwm you can use kp500
 
what was fixed in version 2.2? I didn't notice anything in github and the only thing I noticed on the front page was that it went from version 2.1 to 2.2?

the GB kernel still had zcache enabled so I disabled it in hopes that it stops the phone from freezing after being on for a few days. thats really the only change.
 
Installed 2.2 and it's working fine. :D

now I'm just waiting on Boost to get their shit together so my mms starts working. Evey time I've activated a phone it has taken almost a day or more to get mms working properly. Boost says it can take up to 48 hours. Hopefully it won't take that long.

Since we all know that ondemand sucks, can it be removed, or at least interactive or a better governor be made the default? The kernel will not keep custom governor settings for any length of time. Whenever I notice my phone slow with low battery and check voltage control, it has always reverted to the defaults.

remove your boot settings and save it as a init.d script instead and it shouldn't have any problem sticking.

I like On-Demand. That's what I'm running right now and my phone runs very well. If I decide to run an app that needs it to be changed, I do it but I run On-Demand by default now. Helps out with battery consumption too.

Funny, mine was just the opposite. My problem was CPU Master. ;)
 
Yeah its weird. I think it has something to do with the governer changing for different profiles. I have buggyness with cpu master too unless all my profiles are set to the same governer
 
Blood, first off, my foray into rooting began with the Prevail and CTMod - glad to see it here again on the LG Marquee.

I rooted my wife's Marquee, installed CTMod 3.68 and GB Hyperkernel v2.2; have v6 supercharger with 3g turbobooster script. I just flashed the v2.2 kernel from v2.0 and since then her phone has been overheating when she plugs it in to charge. She is even getting a battery overheating warning. I've read some threads on FB app possibly being a culprit and seen reference to voltage control, but just curious what I should try and in what order. I had it running at 1.3Ghz and dropped it down to 1.0Ghz to see if that would help. I am using no frills cpu, sio, OnDemand. Antutu bench testing had it in the 3,200+ range which is great, just trying to avoid frying the battery.

I'll take answers/suggestions from anyone...thanks!
 
I switched from antutu to setcpu and have had better luck. Antutu was problematic for me. Wouldn't hold settings or would max cpu and overheat. Hope that helps.
