Root [Kernel][Linaro][O/C][GPL][30 MAY] A-kernel S1.1

I was just given the Reverb since a family member got a new phone.
I read through this topic and wanted to clarify something. If I download this kernel I would be able to use the cyanogenmod? I'm currently using a rom that is no longer being worked on so I am looking to change it.

No.
This is just an oc kernel.
There is no cyanogen mod that is stable yet.
Don't try and get it unless of course you know what you are doing.

CWM recovery to flash zips. You can also use fastboot to flash the boot.img itself (supposed to be safer) but that's really for more advanced users (though its easy once you do it once or twice).

Anyway, sorry it took a week, but try this:
A-Kernel S1.1b
Should work, seeing as it was just the zip that didn't work last time.

Ok, I tried flashing after wiping cache and not wiping. And after the triangle, black screen. Sorry to be the one to always give bad news.

Did Samsung change the kernel with the jellybean update? I don't want to lose OC!

Yep. Some good stuff added with JeallyBean. I'm working on the new version now. Have been busy moving but setting up a new build bot as I type this. Hopefully in 2 days or so have a new build out for the JeallyBean release. I doubt the old kernel will be compatible with JB, BTW. It might work.. But probably like crap, if it boots at all.

Nice..well at lease for people w jellybean,I was there I had to downgrade to ICS because so much issued..question is what this suppose to fix w the latest update?
just asking though

This is just an updated release for the JB update. As I stated earlier you probably should not use the old ICS kernel with the JB update.
