Root [KERNEL][MS870][LOKI] Freedom Kernel Overclocked

will this kernel work with katana? sorry for noob question I'm very new to this and just beginning to understand

I always set it to either 1026MHz or 1512MHz max with interactive governor, but whenever I go back into setCPU it changes to 1674MHz max and the governor changes to ondemand. Am I doing something wrong? lol.

You have to enable your settings on boot like what I circled in the screen shot.

I tried that and the problem still persists :/ I'll try it again though. maybe I accidentally unchecked it. Badass Hulk by the way lol
lol Thanks

Make sure you're using the latest version of setcpu from the play store. Older versions can be buggy on ICS. If not you can try another app from play store.

Problems with changed CPU settings not sticking - Android Forums
Just to be clear. I do not recommend messing with the files in this link.

When the CPU clock drops to default stock settings, that's a good thing. This means the cpu was getting hot so the clock went back to stock speed so it can cool down.

If all anybody wants to do is underclock, then use a cpu app for that and set it on boot.

Even underclocked i sometimes overheat. I lowered my default Max in the thermald.conf file to 1026000so that i don't ever go back up to 1.5ghz. Like so:

Thanks a bunch. Does CPU tuner have a function to have the settings automatically start when thene boots up?...and also what configuration is ideal? Thanks in advance.
I'm not sure about the settings for that app. I use SetCPU, but there's many cpu apps on play store both free and paid. It's always best to try different apps for yourself to see which fits your needs best.

These are the settings I use. I do not set any profiles, but that's just me. Others set their settings different than I do.

max - 1.512 ghz
min - 384 mhz
governor - interactive
scheduler - CFQ
set on boot
