Root [Kernel][OC] JOCK v1.1

Nice kernel it is compatible with my KitKatKrunch ROM so far and is blazing fast. Will keep you updated with any changes. I used the 1.5 Ghz

I've noticed a decent bit of improvement from v1.1
you've got all the stuff I care about, lol.
But I could imagine someone will want more governors.
If you want you can do InteractiveX, Lionheart, and Brazilianwax to make it really fancy. But that's entirely up to you good sir.
Idk what else to add to it besides a higher freq.

I think I might be pushing the limits at 1.5 but I haven't touched the GPU yet, so its more likely I can build a better performing stable kernel by bumping up the GPU a bit.

Bloated kernels suck, so I don't want to add 20 govs the most people won't use. If there happens to be 1 or 2 govs that are a must have I can add them, and pull some of the lesser used ones like conservative.

I agree with InteractiveX, its usually my next choice when not needing to pull as heavy a load. I WOULD like to try BrazilianWax on theming tho Lmao!! Those res files, lol... SIO scheduler might be a good one

I have cwm recovery v6.0.3.7 installed and every time I try to install the zip I get a message saying unable to open, no such file or directory. I have tried through rom manager, as well as through Nandroid manager. Any suggestions?

The log reads as follows:

Try moving file from internal to external SD first cuz everything downloads to internal memory and cwm doesn't recognize/see/ have access to internal memory for flashing

On top of what bcrichster suggested look at the size of your file, you may need to re-download it if it's corrupted.

No luck. I re-downloaded the zip(s) and none will install. Tried Jock_1.5, Jock_1.4, and Bootlegeer_1.1. Would this be my phone or CWM?

Have u tried philz recovery? It's what I'm using (even tho data & cache wipes take an ungodly amount of delay) and have no problems. I also use flashify but almost always have I process it cwm style (goes way faster) as it gives me the option Cwm/Philz since I have both images in the same location

Looks like you are initiating the flash from nandroid manager. Have you tried booting into recovery and flashing from there?

I have tried flashing from Nandroid manager, Rom manager, and going into recovery. In recovery mode, I choose install zip file and it isn't detected regardless of the file location. I use ES File Explorer to make the moves. Just now I tried Rashr per suggestion I try Philz. It doesn't detect the zip unless I unpack it first. Can it be installed that way?

I just tried Andromizer with success! Apparently I needed it to create a path from the sd card to be read. I now have the Jock_1.5 installed. I didn't wipe the dalvik and cache. Hopefully it wasn't necessary. Thank you both for the assistance.

I still used cwm. Andromizer allowed the zip to be "seen " by cwm while in recovery. I believe that it linked a path allowing the zip to be installed from its file location on the sd card.

I have been running 1.5 since you put it up for download and have had no problems it runs incredibly smooth... Bump it up and see where it goes...

The next version will have the ability to clock to 1.7 with a few other mods thrown in. I've got a pile o crap computer I build all of this with, and one build of cm11 takes the better part of a day. Don't worry though it coming. I just have to find the time.

Same here. NO over-heating (that i can tell from the outside of the phone), NO unexplained reboots. And the battery seems to be lasting just as long as stock that I can see.

Found some interesting info one the cpu. Don't hold me to it but from what I can determine from here is that this cpu is capable of going 1.7 without any repercussions. I think its just clocked down for battery sake. Personally 1.5 was cool with me but if 1.7 doesn't hurt it, why not :)

We have the msm8930. The default from Qualcomm is 1.2

OK yeah I was looking further and it seems that we have that processor but it's also the s4plus but not the one that goes to 1.7 .it's not on the website. You have to go to Qualcomm snapdragon wiki. The architecture seems exactly the same just clocked down probably for certain devices.
