Root [KERNEL] Plague LG Esteem ZVD

ok so i got it now. i was zipping the folder and not the files. whoops. thanks shiny! i can upload the kernel if you want me too pg but i wont if you would perfer me no to

Yea, Does HDMI Work on this Kernal?

I'm running GSEII but my HDMI DOES NOT PROJECT THE SCREEN, JUST STAYS ON AND TV HAS NO INPUT

I'm looking for a fix, I read in the GSEII page that HDMI works, somehow mine does not.

I have 4 CWM backups they are each from a fresh ROM install
1GSEII(root) NO HDMI
2Broken Out Rom(Root) NO HDMI
3Stock Metro Lg(root) *
4Stock debloated with my custom Music/web/Launcher apps/settings. (root)*
*HDMI works on stock.

I'm pretty sure the last Kernal I flashed was Plague 2. but doesn't flashing the GSEII1.5 rom replace whatever Kernal I had?

All I want is 1 HDMI, 2 my Deskhome.apk to work on GSEII, when I dock my phone.... thats it... I Can't Get those 2 things Working can Someone please Help.
 
hdmi works 100% on Pg's plague kernel see i had flahed mt broken out rom and noticed my hdmi out would not mirror but then i flashed just pg's kernel and hdmi started working again.
 
I flashed this Kernel to my stock rooted ZVD Lg Esteem, then I notice my phone being a little slow, also the scanning of the media and getting the sd card ready takes three times longer, I then flashed the kernel from the Black plague which is updated, but it is the same, then restore the back-up before I flashed any kernel but it is the same.

I didn't do any wipe. but if you guys know that will fix my problem I will.

Does anybody can help me, I was trying to make my phone faster instead I made it slower!

hey pg, i been trying to put your kernel on my phone and i downloaded it and everything but i cant figure out how to get it on my phone from my laptop. I feel like i missed a step, but i open up the boot file and it brings me to "nero" some cd burning thing. and when i "extract all" i dont know where it goes? lol I feel like an idiot over here. and does it delete my contacts etc? :confused:

When adding a kernel you never wipe anything just install and reboot and no contacts will be deleted your phone will be the same as it was before the install but on the other issues what rom are you trying to add it to?

To add item's to your phone plug your charge cable to your computer and then plug the other end to your phone.. on your phone drag the drop down menu and click USB Connected and select Mass storage and then click done... now to your pc depending on what OS you use...windows 7 will get a prompt to open a window and hit open now or just goto my computer and look for a removable device in that window... double click and drag and drop the .zip file to a new folder you make on your desktop and name it roms kernels themes whatever you want... then move the folder to your phone.. open up clock works and install from the new folder you made on your phone..NO WIPES NEEDED just reboot.

ok i'm trying to help and PG is bizzy with other thing's at the moment but if you read my last post you will see that i gave instructions on how to add a file to your phone..
 
yeah idk why that posted i tried posting that earlier and it didntand just did haha but i keep extracting the file and then i cant find it and i dont understand how to send it to my phone still.

thanks for your help i figured it out.but in cwm it tells me to open up 1 of 2 files META-INF/ and system/ which one should i choose before i reboot?

well are you in the recovery or the app... should never ask to open any of those files you should just install without wipe of anything that means uncheck wipe dalvik cache and install.
 
i extracted the kernel to my phone and clicked on it in cwm and it gave me those 2 options then i clicked META and it brought me another file and so on and for forth. im assuming i messed up again.

ok goto to your home screen then open your app drawer find cwm app open it... once opened find the button that says install from sd card in the cwm menu then find the app you wanna install from there you will get a pop up menu deselect wipe dalvik cache and wait a few minutes then hit reboot system...
 
the wipe davlick option doesnt pop up. i think i downloaded the wrong kernel, if its even a kernel. the files i dl'd are METa and system and another file that is called boot and has a cd on it and when i opened it was called "nero" and was a cd burner or some shit, idk how i got thay when i clicked on the "plague zvd" link and dl'd it from there?

Do not extract the. Zip install the zip
 
how do i install it and which one do i install i have 3 different files to choose from "meta, system, and boot' and boots the only one with any memory used
