now im going back to making my own splash screen lol...

Im having issues with splash screens now ... hboot finds it just find ... i do the update and reboot ... and no splash screen ! just the white htc screen .... frustrating

open up the zip file and see what files are in it.....if your still getting the stock white evo screen then something wasnt dont right probly when the .img file was created

there should be two files in it although i put 3 in mine....

one should be splash1.img and the other should be android-info.txt

i also put the .bmp picture file in there too in case anyone wants it for a background

or if you still have the zip file and can send it to me i'll look at it....
 
My phone loves the freedom kernel! I think i'll stick with it. I have read some stuff about the synergy updater app. I have looked through my phone and cant seem to find where its located. anyone know where i can find it? I am running synergy RC1. I'd like to try some different themes. Any help would be schweet. thanks

It should be in your app tray. It's an orange icon labeled Synergy Updater.

You can also look in Myn's op on the XDA thread and find other themes for your rom.;)

Thanks man. I just dont see it. I looked again and it isnt there. Is it only part of the god mode? I didnt use that one. maybe I should re-download the ROM? perhaps, I have an older version of it? I downloaded it on 8/30 the file is named Synery-RLS1-Supersonic. My phone software settings say build number : Synergy (RLS1) Maybe i used an older download link??

On a side note, I have noticed a little bug (at least on my device) when i exit the browser, by hitting the home button, All of my widgets have to reload/refresh. I only experience this when I am browsing in landscape mode and hit the home button. To remedy this for now, I have toggled off the screen rotation. it seems to be something to do with that? unfortunately, with screen rotation set to off, the browser wont automatically switch orientation. I had to go into the browser settings and select view in landscape only.

Nope, the Synergy updater is in both RLS1 roms.

What you could do

1.
Boot to recovery
Wipe cache
Wipe Dalvik cache
Flash rom again
Reboot

See if that solves the issue

or

2.
Download the RLS1 Synergy rom again
Boot to recovery
Wipe cache
Wipe Dalvik cache
Flash rom
Reboot


Both of these will not mess with your data, ringtones, mms, sms.......... all of that will be as you left it
 
Damn, no dice. I did option 2 and still no synergy updater in the app tray. :(

I accidently deleted the down boot animation while changing the boot animation. anyone know where to get the file and what the name should be?

I found the down boot animation and the synergy updater app apk in the original zip file. loaded them over, installed the apk and moved the down animation. Synergy updater is now in my app drawer but down animation doesnt work anymore. is there something more i need to do with permissions or anything?

Couldnt figure it out so, I reflashed this morning wiped cache and dalvic. Its back!
