You will likely not lose 4g by doing anything except flashing radios. It is possible but not likely to happen. Where did you get the file to flash Amon RA from? Try going here and downloading it again. Flash it the same way and try to make a backup. You might have gotten a bad flash or download.
 
so i redownloaded it put it on my sd card rebooted into the white screen and it never reconized it to update so do i go in to recovery and install update from zip then or what i dont know what to do i dont want to loose everything

ok is it named correctly? no extra zip's at the end? it needs to be exactly PC36IMG. remember windows hides extensions. is it on the root of the card? that means not in any folder. just on the card.
 
okay when you first get the white screen it logs in and does some stuff and it says no image wrong image
 
ugh so it did it again it installed and went to backup and said Oops... something went wrong!Please check recovery log
 
it found the update in hboot like your noted say i installed it then hit no for reboot then clicked backup/restore then nandroid backup of first three and wiwax and thats what it says i followed the directions

what size card are you using? is it getting full? nandroids are pretty big
 
you might be running out of room on your card. these nandroids are pretty big. so i owuld start deleting some stuff. keep one nandroid that you like then try again.
 
that was it man thanks again i guess thats what happens when i have 8-10 nandroid backups. also can i restore clockwork mod nandroids while using amon
 
im not, lol just curious and trying to figure out as much as possible about my phone, so the newest version of cwm is always the one i use to restore cwm nandroid backups in like 6 months from now or is it always 2.6
