Kernels all pretty much the same these days

Over the last week or 2 there haven't been too many new kernels. I've tried siyah 2.6.11, speed mod 2-20, neak 1.3.2, phenomenal blue extreme and (date I day it) phoenix. There ain't much between them all. Have dev's got it down to very fine margins these days.

I would think given the difference between Siyah 2.6.10 and 2.6.11 that they're still playing around quite a bit. It'll all reset when the official ICS roms are released!

Thankfully! It's nice to have a consistent setup for longer than a day or two. :)

I suppose that's what I was trying to say last night, have tried all the major players recently and really cannot see huge differences between them. Gonna just leave my phone be for a while now I'm happy my settings are optimised for me. My flashaholic days are over.

.........until the next latest version of xxxx kernel is released????

I suppose there is only so much you can physically push the GS2, and I'm guessing the improvement curve is beginning to level out as developers continually tweak their code. Lets face it, although brilliant developers (I have 2 in mind here) much of what they do is educated guesses, trial and error and testing their changes out, then tweak some more after feedback. We are getting to the stage where all their hard work is paying off as we start to reach these limits.

This won't however stop me for trying out every new version of NEAK and Siyah as they emerge! :D

Yes... I think we have reached the, "Law of Diminishing Returns".

That is, gone are the days when you could measure a new kernels improvements in leaps and bounds. We are now down to the fine tuning stage.
