Root kernels??

Wondering if anyone has been playing around with kernels with cm7.1 stable? Tried a couple of the nightly cm7 roms and ran accross the absolution collective using ace talon kernel. Was fast but not quite as solid as stock cm7. Hoping to get some opinions before my itchy flash finger gets going.

Maybe try the Tiamat Kernel. i know its not as popular as lordmod or talon but i find it to be a great kernel.

I've never used Absolution so idk what they did differnet but that kernel made cm7 a bit more snappier and good battery life. I haven't used it lately though as i flash cm7 nightlies and sometimes i forgot to flash the tiamat kernel .
