Not sure if this is just a CM7 or AOSP ROM issue. I did not have it with Sense. But when you start to compose text for an email or text message a big clumsy up arrow is placed at the beginning of the text enter box. Problem is the bottom of the arrow overlaps the W on the keyboard so you can't enter one as your first letter easily. I've poked around and haven't found a way to get rid of the cursor. Anyone know?

you could try different keyboards that are out on the market. also you can head on over to EVO 4G Themes and Apps - xda-developers section and do a search for cm7 keyboards.
