Help Keyboard keeps crashing

hey all. im posting this for a friend of mine. she tells me her GS2 keyboard keeps crashing and force closing. this happens with stock and custom keyboard apps. she says sometimes as shes typing nothing shows up in the screen as well. she already did a fresh factory reset and it still does that. not rooted. anyone have any ideas? any information u need i can ask her. thanks in advanced.

Hmm .. I was going to suggest a factory reset but I see she has already done that.

Try this. Power off the phone. Hold both volume buttons and the power button at the same time. When the phone vibrates, let go of the power button but keep holding both volume buttons. In a few seconds she should be in the recovery menu. Use volume buttons to move up/down and power button to select. *if power button doesn't work, use your home key*. Go to format cache partition. When that is done select reboot. She could also try factory reset again in that same menu at the same time.

If Atma's remedy doesn't work, try installing Swype beta (if she doesn't have it). It may help. I had problems with the factory Swype before installing beta. Works fine now.
