Root Keyboard Lag (Gingerbread)

Does anyone else have intense keyboard lag on the leak? It's especially bad in the messaging app - not so much anywhere else. I haven't found a fix yet.

I was, but I SBF'd back to stock, wiped data, cleared cache, then put rooted GB on it...and now my keyboard seems great. The lag was only happening for me with haptic feedback turned on, but now it doesn't happen at all. Oh, and I also get to have the awesome "TV OFF" animation with root. Me = Happy :)

I just SBFed, rooted, backed up, wiped EVERYTHING (including battery stats and dalvik) and installed GB. We'll see.

EDIT: Nope, it's still there. Everything else is quick as hell - just crazy lag in Text Messaging.

Same issue here drive me crazy when i was texting so fast before now i have wait for the keyboard response i have the GB rooted can i do a factory reset and see if that help....?

I have SBFed, factory reset, wiped everything, loaded BlurryBread, everything - it's still there. It's the most annoying thing in the world. I am seriously considering dropping back to Rubix focused, but Gingerbread is fantastic.

i do have occasional keyboard lag when texting...i can type as fast as i want..the phone always catches up...there are just occasional hiccups

There will be bugs, it's not a final release, and this maybe one of the reasons V kicked it back.

Fact. I'm not complaining about the build, I'm trying to find a solution. I've installed another keyboard, force closed the keyboard and text messaging, I've wiped messages, etc. I can't find the problem.

The keyboard is quick everywhere but text messaging. it is confusing me.

I had the exact same problem.

I installed Gingerbread Root Leak and everything seemed fine except for my typing ... I could never turn off the haptic feedback, and that alone seemed to slow down the typing both in e-mails and in text.

If I also had to comment, Fruit Ninja used to run great - but in Gingerbread it wouldn't even detect the swipes half the time.

Flashed back to 2.2.1 ... hopefully someone can give me some pointers so I can re-install Gingerbread Root leak.

THANKS!

(can anyone confirm turning off the haptic feedback completely in Gingerbread leak?)

There's some significant keyboard lag using the Handcent app too, just as a side note. Haven't used the standard text messaging app so I can't compare the lag between the two.
