Help Keyboard SMS Sounds?

I maybe mistaken but I believe I used to hear a sound when I completed a word it was like a "chh" sound and it doesn't seem to be occurring on my phone anymore

I've checked in sound settings and I have keyboard settings with key press sound on but to be clear I'm not referring to the keyboard click sound I recall upon word completion or possibly word substitution there was some kind of chh noise after hitting the space bar ... can somebody test this out real quick in an SMS and post results? I'm scratching my head...

Are you coming from an iPhone? I did and it makes that sound... I just checked my nexus and it doesn't do it either, never noticed if it ever did or not but I did just do a factory reset

It makes a click sound if you manually choose a suggested spelling from the line of blue alternative words.

OK thanks for the confirmation... actually I switch between nexus, iPhone and most recently Bob bold 9930... so I maybe confusing the devices...
