Keyring

It's not compatible with 2.0, that's why it doesn't show up under your search. I downloaded it before it was pulled from the 2.0 search. It wouldn't scan barcodes. Then it said an update was available, when I downloaded the update the developer actually put a note in that said it's not compatible with 2.0 and he was working on it. So even if you download it, the camera will never manage to scan a barcode.

I was having problems scanning barcodes, but discovered that if you hold the phone 8-10 inches away instead of trying to fill the given on screen box, it can focus better. You also need adequate lighting and a steady hand.

It's been re-released for the Droid. They bought one today and got it working. :)

Load keyring into my Droid, no prob. Was able to enter about 8 bar code cards, no prob. Tried to use my phone instead of card at scanner. Did not scan. Tried changing brightness and distance no luck. Anyone else with same issues?

Same issue. I told 6 others to download it because I thought the idea was so cool. Every single person had the same problem. Hopefully they can make the app better in the future, because it is one of the best ideas yet!

I tried it at CVS and it didn't work. Though the clerk was less than interested in trying. Ill try again some other time.

I heard from an employee from Bestbuy that if the screen is clean it is too reflective and the scanner can't read the image. She said it worked with a "smudged" screen and at least I keep it clean :)

Still I want it to work!!

Worked for me while out shopping at Toys R' Us, although the clerk was less than happy about scanning my phone versus the actual card. She used the gun at an angle to the screen and it scanned within 2 or 3 seconds..

Tried using keyring in other stores. Again could not read code from droid. Tried changing brightness and distance. Great idea too bad it doesn't work.

I installed it and it works just fine on my droid. I have my golds gym card on there, my kroger card, cvs, and pets mart card. I used at the register at kroger the other day and the lady thought it was the coolest thing. Even though i felt kinda awkward handing her a phone haha. Its a cool app for me cause i always forget my wallet and I hate a bunch of chains on my keys.

You got it to work. Any tips?

If you're talking about scanning it at the coounter I just turned my brightness up before I got to the counter and it worked fine.

If you're talking about scanning it onto the phone I would suggest good lighting and I have better luck when I dont put the camera right onto the barcode. Put the camera about 4-5 inches away from the barcode.

It wasnt working for me either before the updat but now it works fine. I have scanned it at kroger and golds gym. I havnt tried cvs or petsmart yet. Waiting on the dog to finish his food....:D

no prob getting cards into droid. Its getting them to scan at the pos. I thought you were to lower screen brightness.

for the laser type scanners everywhere, you probably do have to hold it at an angle for it to pick out the bars, or else there will be too much of a reflection.

I'm going to have to try this app!
