cheers, been waiting for updates for a while.. although it looks to be another test firmware.. when another official is released, wonder if i'd have to wipe my phone (bit wary after the KG6->KG5 update) 
might wait til KH3 or another official.. anyone tried this, anything new (google video chat, for example)?

yes KG6 is a test firmware, KG5 is the newest official, and looks like KH1 is the newest test firmware

Bah.. I just read somewhere XXKG2 is latest. Now KH1 is released as per this thread, and some are saying "waiting for KH3"!! Uhm.. What the hell? Sorry I'm a newbie!

cheers ironass, me too yup i flashed it this morning. bit too soon to say, but battery life seems better than KG5 already.. and there's that new power saving setting...but disappointing to still not have google video chat. apart from that, not much ive noticed really i'll update as soon as i notice anything of course 
EDIT: dunno if this was there before, but under settings/motion, there's an option to turn off Double Tap to open voice talk. i wish there was an option to change which app it opened

I flashed KH3 last night but I was too tired to mess around with it. I know when I went to sleep it was on 88% charge and when I woke up after 8.30hrs sleep it was on 87% but I turned Wi-Fi and data connection off. It’s still early days yet to tell what the battery life is really like but it does seem a fraction better than KG5. As Samsung never release a change log we won’t know for sure what they have improved. Battery life for me was a main concern when I bought this device and also the heat issues but I think they have been ironed out a few releases a go. I have tried the new System power saving but I noticed the phone lags ever so slightly when flicking through apps and home screens but to be fair it does warn you about a performance restriction when you click on it. That will come in handy if you’re at work or forgot your charger then you could use it to last you the day until you get home or something. One other thing I noticed was the stock browser doesn't zoom in very much when you double tap on web pages I had a mess around with the zoom settings but nothing seem to work for me, luckily I use Opera so it wasn’t much of a big deal. Overall I think some small improvements have been made to the battery I think it will improve more as Samsung release each update. If I see anything else worth reporting on I will update this post. Sorry for rambling on..........

hasnt that been there on all firmwares? ive avoided this reason and the fact that it doesnt turn everything on even once ur charge is back to 100%

yeah i know that, but the normal previous power saving mode also had that notification problem. the new one has added the system power saving thing, and thats supposed to run all the time its active so i assume a notification when that is enabled is alright. its the rest of it that annoys me
