Root Kings alliance rom

Just looking for some input on it....is it pretty good?? any partitioning required?? Right now im pretty hooked on the EvolvedROM R3charged RC1....but i like the themes you can put on the Kings Alliance Rom after looking at the thread on XDA...Just curious as to how you install those Themes...some of them say just put on sd card and its in the skins?? is that correct?? or do you have to install it somehow?


nevermind on the theme installing....i read you have to flash it if its a .zip file...

ok, i just saw something....in the ROMs and Kernels downloads section, the kings alliance rls3 says odexed.....but in on the XDA page it says the themes are for deodexed only....what does that mean?

Applications on the android come in .apk files and the certain applications contain .odex files, Supposed to save space, the files are actually used for optimized booting, it preloads part of the application beforehand which makes modding difficult.

Deodexed replaces the packaging of the apk's in different ways and reassembles them into classes.dex files and thus all parts of the application is put back together in one place which allows for easy modding and stuff like that.

This is what ive learned so far im sure you can find more in-depth explanations.

thanks for the explanation between the two....i guess now im just wondering if, say i flash the King's Alliance ROM (odex), can i flash the themes that are zip files (deodexed) and have them work with that ROM...

On his thread at xda, he should have a download link for the odex and deodex Roms. Just make sure you get the deodex version if you want to theme.

I don't believe you can, but if you want to do themeing anyways then you should go with a deodexed rom for sure.

You can theme on odexed but its not as a wide variety as deodexed.

i've looked at the thread at least 5 times from top to bottom and i dont see a link for the deodexed.... i looked on kingsrom.com too and dont see anythign there.....i could be blind though lol....

when flashing a kings rom it says something about flashing Kings MOD format all.zip.... is that the same thing as using Superwipe??

Yea kings format all is the same as superwipe, usually all <name.zip>*that are meant for wiping that you install from .zip are full wipes. Sorry if i explained it terribly.

it actually is similar. with superwipe it does the same exact thing as kings format all but it also does what calkulin's cleartemp does as well. calkulin's clear temp does just that it clears any temp. files and does both three times that is why it is a superwipe.
