Help Kit Kat for 2013 Nexus 7

Kitkat in HK arrived to my Nexus 7 as well~some apps cant run after enabled ART~

Got it yesterday, the only thing that I notice is that the tablet is snappier, other than that nothing too noticeable. No new launcher wasn't actually expecting it anyways.

Bought new nexus 7 today and it downloaded 4.4 as soon as it connect to the internet.

I got mine this morning after using the old Google Framework trick. Did it twice and the update popped up.

Go to settings/apps/all then scroll down to google services framework and clear data and cache

I just did the same thing. After clearing the data a second time I powered off my N7. When I powered it back up and went to check for updates it started downloading KitKat. My wife's N7 received the update automatically two days ago.

There's a lot of letters between k and s that candy bar will be stale by then.

I've dropped the new launcher, occasional stutters and the animations are not smooth.

Back to Nova Launcher, latest beta has all the same visual effects, no lag and smooth animations.

You would think Google would be able to do a better job than a 3rd party.

I did the framework trick and it worked, I've now got a 2013N7 4.4

I haven't spotted much difference so far, other than a slight colour change to the top notification bar & un-lock pattern and a few app icon changes
