I just sent returned my "original" Droid X because the headphone jack wasn't working properly, and I realized this will actually be my 3rd X sine the very first one had a mal-functioning camera shutter that was stuck closed.

Now that my replacement has arrived I have realized I want to fully check this thing out in the first few days to make sure everything is working. I'm not a tech genius so I wouldn't know where to start to perform my own 100-point test, but I feel a good place would be to go over all the known hardware/software problems people have had with "New" and "CLNR" phones. But posts for these problems are spread out all over and extremely redundant.

Bringing me to my point. I think the Support and Troubleshooting forum could use atleast one sticky that lists all the known hardware problems that users have experienced out-of-the-box, or that have developed over time, and software issues (Non-Root Related) that have been found for the X.

I'll get a list started with my experiences, and the few things I can think of off the top of my head. My vision is of two lists, 1. Hardware Issues 2. Software Issues, with the possibility of each item in a list linking to a previous thread on the topic, or a newly created one which goes into more detail about what is wrong/how to notice it/and what if anything can be done on your own to correct it. (I'm not a heavy poster because I don't really have the time, so if this is a popular idea and one of the regulars/mods/experts wants to jump in and take over/create a new better thread of same idea go for it)

Known Hardware Issues:
Camera/Video Camera Dead Pixels
Camera Shutter Malfunctioning/Stuck Closed
Headphone Jack Poor/No Connectivity
Loose Hard-Button Rockers

Known Software Issues:
Random Reboots
Sporadically Receiving Duplicate Text Messages
