Help "Known Issue" notice in status bar

MackDaddy

Lurker
This morning I had a notice in my status bar that said (paraphrasing): 'There is a known issue with streaming multimedia on the HTC EVO. Please call [sprintnumber] and let them know you are having problems streaming multimedia with HTC EVO software version [version#]'. Then it had 'Cancel' and a 'call Sprint' buttons.

Does anybody know what this is about?

I got it too. I just cancelled but I did think it was weird. The funny thing is I was streaming from a sports radio app at the time!

Never had that before, but I have had issues with streaming video from news apps before. I would get a pop-up that would say "video unavailable", then my status bar would fill up with "@" and say "DRM content unavailable to stream".

Which that was before I was rooted or had any mods to my phone. Which I thought the evo was one phone that actually has the DRM stuff on it.

But back to topic, you may want to look at Mr.Eds thread on improving 3g speed/streaming with pandora. (If you were using 3g,that is)

I have that same notice on my status bar right now, I haven't called sprint on it yet.I don't know what it's about really so I'll just wait until someone else figures it out. I don't want any issues cause my phones rooted.
