What are the know issues with a rooted nook? I justed rooted our nook. There's no sound and I can't find the two free books I downloaded. Are these known issues? Did I mess up the rooting process. I used the latest Autonooter img file.

Thanks

what version of autonooter and what os did you use?

try opening up your 'library' and hittin the 'refresh' button in the bottom left corner to find the books

was the stock firmware upgraded to 1.0.1? it wont work under 1.0.0

Yup. I upgraded it before rooting. I mean everything is fine but the audio. if anything, is it easy to put it back to its original state? Just in case.

Thanks cabbie. I actually ran across the nook devs site last nite. I think I have a hardware issue so I'm gonna exchange the nook.

I'm not sure if you're only asking about hardware problems after rooting, but one known consequence of rooting at the moment is that you'll lose the in-store features (the cafe coupons and free hour of reading per day).

Oh what? I didn't know that. Thank you. That might be a big deal for the wife. uh oh.

How do I still get my books on the nook in the BN app won't work after rooting?

You might be a bit confused.

There are two apps. The stock NookColor app that comes on the device, and the Nook app in the android market that we download to our phones.

If you root, the stock NookColor app still works just fine. If you go into the market and download the Nook app though, it won't work. But you don't need it. You have the NookColor apps still.

Hey cabbie

Is that a screenshot with the 2.2 froyo rom that has flash working? So the stock nook app still works?
