lol - LOVE your response. I was kidding...mostly. I was raised in a very modern way - that is, I was raised to be my own person and make my own decisions as an intelligent person, and not merely as just a girl with choices only fit for girls in a realm of possibilities restricted to just girls - you seem to know exactly what I mean.Sorry to take this thread FURTHER off topic but being the father of my soon to be one year old daughter I guess I was initially guilty of being like your father; I wanted a boy. Yet, AND I SAY THIS NOT KNOWING YOU IN PERSON BUT PAYING YOU A COMPLEMENT, it seems that you have become a thinking oriented and capable woman. I think that its a shame that all the commercials on TV will be trying sell toys to make my daughter prone to taking care of babies, cute ponies, and getting married. While I as a man grew up with erector sets, legos, and toys that made me grow cognitively. I don't know. I am glad I have a triumph because I researched it and came to my own conclusion that it is a WAY BETTER phone value and feature wise than everyone makes the iphone out to be. Rant over.
TLDR; Your dad raising you, wanting a boy might not have been all that bad.
I was thinking more about this color-wise, and I believe that since I was a tomboy and my sister was the "girly" girl, I grew to almost distrust pink (not to mention I can't wear any shade of it). But thinking more on it, I found at least three fuschia setups in my folder, so I've got love for pink after all.
The flowers, however....
