I can't help but notice that the link in that XDA post does not show Our phone on the list. It says the list is not complete so I hope Our phone is included.

Updates for the US versions of the S II are ports from the international S II (i9100) So it will take Samsung / softbank a little longer to confirm that the US variants are getting the update

Samsung has earned some loyalty from me by continuing support for older phones. Standing behind your products is a customers dream.

Support won't be the only factor in my next purchase but it definitely will be a major factor (LG and other OEMs I am looking at you).

We will definitely get it reregardless whether or not they give an official ota or not. But it would be nice if we get the ota. Then they have to give source code and our rom devs and kernel devs can build better feature rich roms

There is a boost variant it was posted on the rdf thread on xda, virgin mobile also have a build.
