Latest i9100 modems

Cheers butty. You are without question our residential mr. modem!
:)

Seems like modems are becoming 10 a penny these days!

More than happy with lp6, but I'll be giving this little bugger a go now.

Just flashes it myself and first impressions aren't great. It could just be that I'm somewhere that's always a bit hit and miss with reception, but it seems slow and I haven't seen h+ once since I've flashed.

Ah well, in for a penny as they say. :)

LP6 is blooming good for me. Lets see what this suckers like.

I'm sticking with LP6. My phone's been up for 38hr 55min, and 36hr 06min of that has been in deep sleep. I'm still at 41%. I LOVE this modem with Siyah x.11.

I've had both amazing and horrendous battery life with this modem, which shows that it's doesn't do anything for battery life on my phone :(

I've got LPB on AndyX ROM 4.1, looking good (though I am in the CBD atm).

Nothing untoward on LPB for me so far.
Both signal and battery seem to be comparable with LP6.
Not noticed any huge difference with speed neither.

Much the same for me old fruit gum! :)

Signal tests etc; are almost identical to LP6.

The only sure fire way for me, to see conclusively if this is a keeper or not, is to force myself to go to the no signal pub, The Twilight Zone, and spend some time testing it there.

Thanks hawker old son.

These noobs don't appreciate the effort and sacrifices that some of us have to make to test new software. ;)

finally tried what you said Ironass but still a no go on the LP6 front, it seems like my phone is married to KF2.

will try the new one but im not holding out too much hope

On the pub front, where i drink is a really old pub with walls about 2ft thick, no matter what modem i try the sgs2 really struggles (kf2 or kp8 aside) and yet my nokia n95 (also on 3) which i gave to the wife flies.

Everyone here is commenting on the speed of LP6 and LPB but what about Battery usage / life ? Can't afford to install one which "may" have excellent download speed if it ends up drinking battery in the process.

I'm running LP1 today after ditching KI3 which was crap for me

After few days with LP6 and problem with voice echo solved, i cant complain :) after very light use 21h later still have 70%!

Very light? Understatement of the year. Does your phone ever, well be a phone? :D

Edit: nice though, wish I could myself.

Sure, no bother ;) + any ideas wtf with screenshot option? Dunno since when its turned off... and how to bring it on again...

Im elastic ;) + HELP ME FFS PLS!!! :D
And sorry but my english is still not good enough... veracious - 1st time i see that lol ;) but know now :P

Its probably unlikely it will work but try taking the screenshot apk out of a pre ics ROM and stick it back in. Can't really say personally as i'm not running it so can't test it out.

LPB working fab. For the first time ever getting h+ in deepest darkest yorkshire. Previously this was unheard of outside of leeds. Unless they coincidentally upgraded the mast at the same time........

I must say that I'm loving LPB. Best modem so far for me. Data signal is excellent and because of this it's very battery friendly as it's not constantly trying to lock-on.

NB. For those not living in Yorkshire... H+ stands for, "Here be dragons".
