Got link2sd working.
Noticed something I can only either move an app to sd or symbolically link it. Which saves most space? also everything already on sd looks like it would have to be moved back to phone one by one to symbolically link. looks like i just figured that out. i took go sms off sd put in on phone then linked. my phone storage went from 31.34 mb to 37.57 mb.
How much space should i have on my phone's internal storage to run optimally?
If your phone is working OK,the amount doesn't really matter. However,as a rule of thumb,I've read from previous posts here that people usually start experiencing lag,F/C,etc..,when memory falls below 20MB.
The important thing is some things are best left on the phone memory, namely MARKET,stock keyboard(or any keyboard from personal experience),stock browser,& most,if not all,GOOGLE APPS,just to be on the safe side.
Generally, leave SYSTEM APPS on the phone & user(downloaded, except MARKET) can run off the SDCard.
If you're getting these stats from the SETTINGS section on your phone, remember that this reading is not accurate as LINK2SD is fooling the phone into thinking the apps are on the phone, just like DT's A2SD.
Check the info in LINK2SD & it will give you a more accurate reading of memory & where it is stored.
TITANIUM BACKUP also reads the partition & gives an accurate readout of memory stats.
