Root Launcher Pro Force Closing After AOSP CM7 Install.

Alright so I installed AOSP's CM7 Gingerbread ROM last night, and it's pretty cool. It doesn't seem to be up to the performance standards of bumblebee, however I can deal with it. What I cannot deal with, is my Launcher Pro Plus force closing every so often. Any idea on how to fix this? It only happens on the CM7 ROM. None other that I have.

And also, anyone recommend a keyboard close to swype for the CM7 ROM? I love swype, but it isn't on the CM7 ROM for some odd reason. :/

Please and thank you!

To stop the force closes with launcher pro, make a backup with TitaniumBackup, then uninstall and reinstall it. I don't use launcher pro, but I assume it uses a db or other file to save all of it's data, that's how ADW Launcher works. Find it and copy it, then after reinstalling, replace the new files with the old ones.

When changing from a froyo based ROM to a gingerbread one, system apps (including launchers even if they aren't truly part of the system) can be finicky about how they are restored.

Can I just uninstall and install it from the market? Should be fine then, correct?

Edit: I was also wondering if you overclocked your cpu, and to what? (Jerry)

That's strange. LauncherPro runs absolutely flawlessly for me with AOSP. I agree with Jerry, I would uninstall/reinstall.

Did you wipe everything (data, cache) before you flashed AOSP?

Yeah I did. I got it running though so its all good...however I just bought ADW launcher now :p I wanted the fluxed (spellcheck?) icons haha
