He says somewhere that it's having a hard time downloading with the stock android browser, so he suggests if you are downloading it directly to your phone, to install skyfire.
I ended up installing skyfire, downloading LP Pro and then deleting skyfire.
LP is the most important app on my phone. He deserves my $3.

The way I understood it was that he was going to put the free version on the market, then give us keys to unlock all the features. So the keys (via his website, then) will probably be more
Theres an update available for LauncherPro Beta that upgrades you to the the one on the site but doesn't unlock the people's widget till you purchase.
Upgraded to it but havn't purchased yet will do once he releases a few more widgets though. Missing my bookmark one.
Guessing this would be a lot easier to update then how everyone else is doing lol.

None of the HTC ones cross over, but the stock calander app does work

How would we get updates if the paid app isnt on the market?

Updates would be for the "free version" I'm guessing we'd have a key file after unlocking somewhere that, upon update, unlocks the pro version, so we don't have to keep re-adding our layouts.

the only launcher pro exclusive widget is a people widget at the moment. the dev said a calendar widget (and bookmark) was in the works, and should be out in the next few weeks.
i paid for it and had no problems downloading from the stock internet app. i'm just happy to help support this guy, because LP is my favorite app on my phone and i'd hate to see it fall by the wayside.
when launcher pro is running, it is instead of sense. sense will not run in the background if that is what you are wondering (it does not uninstall though). it shouldn't look different than other versions of LP, but if it doesn't look different than sense, press the home button and set LP as the default launcher. you can also download a free app called homeswitcher to swap between sense, LP, default, etc...

Right now I'm displeased with the calendar widget. Every time I enter in a monthly repeating event, it moves it back one day for the months after entry. REALLY annoying. I have to set it a day in advance to trick the computer.
So if he can get a sweet calendar widget that actually works, I'd buy it.

Anybody else getting force closed? 3 times since buying yesterday 1pm PST.
I haven't had a force close yet and I bought it almost immediately after he posted it.

Im just thinking something...He said he couldn't sell this in the market because of the Country he is from but he also sells Pure Cal. Widget, Grid ect...

I'm confused. Do you need to be rooted to use a launcher?
And what exactly IS a launcher (sorry for the noob ?). Is it like a different "menu"? I see in the LP pics that there is the row of images at the bottom instead of the one with the arrow and "PHONE" etc?

Guess you could say it is an alt home screen, but able to customize to your hearts content, widgets, change icons etc.
No you do not need to be rooted.

You do not need to be rooted to use one.
LP (as well as others) are home screen replacement apps. They run overtop of, and replace, Sense UI.
With LP you get the customizable dock on the botton as well as access to 7 homescreens. And a bunch of other neat features. For instance, if you want to uninstall an app, you can just drag it down to the trash can, hold it there for a second and then a window will pop up asking if you want to remove or uninstall the program. Fastest way EVER to uninstall.

IIt didn't work when I tried using the stock browser, but worked quite easily when I used skyfire
