Does anyone know how to fix the issue with the facebook widget as I it would let me sign in - the error is something like unable to validate and its really annoying as I like launcher pro but would like my facebook widget on there.

How long have you been using LP? have you uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that solves the problem? There can be issues on new installations.
