There is a new version of Launcher Pro with cool homescreen animations. Check it out at the Market.

It also has a new Gmail widget which is coming soon, but not in this update. Like in a week or so.
 
Those home screen animations are cool. I have mine on rotate.

How can I change the icons for call / contacts / app drawer / messages / web

like, is there anything that will make them more vibrant, more cool looking?

I also have mine at rotate. Will get to you about the rest later. P.S. in case youre thinking " i thought you had your phone taken away, i installed it on my girls phone

The optimus has nicer buttons on the dock for those options. Maybe it's a 2.2 thing
 
Also, the new update for Launcher Pro bring even smoother scrolling of the app drawer. But thats not all, a future complete rewrite of the app will be coming soon.It will be completely rebuilt from the ground up.
 
Having a issue..

I replaced all my dock icons with new ones I found on the web, but then decided to change them all back, but LP doesn't have the app drawer icon in the list of LP icons, and I really want that icon back :(

where is it?

I already turned back on canvas, and then turned back on LP thinking it would reset, but it didn't....anyone know?

I don't know WHY but my calendar keeps foreclosing AND TAKES ABOUT 15 MINUTES TO BE LOADED?

i am using Huawei Ascend from Cricket plan and Android 2.1

My calendars are really really slow but only seems to be my calendars, the rest is fine

Hey NY! The market has LaucherPro Icons. If you download it and select 'all' you will find several app drawer icons like the one you had.

Also, you can make them any color you want. I'm pretty sure it's free.

No need to do that. NY, to revert back to the original app drawer icon, long press on it and instead of choosing launcher pro icons, choose change shortcut. You will see it there.

True! That's how to get the stock app drawer back. But I was just letting NY know that there are some VERY cool ones available with LP Icons. I've changed all mine up.

I'll post some screenshots in just a few mins.

Yes...all of the above and it is also highly customizable. LauncherPro is like getting a new phone. :) And actually it was Joser who first told me about it and I didn't want it. LOL

I finally gave in and tried and now someone will have to pry it out of my cold dead hands before I ever give it up!

So far, launcher Pro takes a lot to load (like if i want to make changes then it takes a while like 15 minutes)

Pure Calendar does the same.

Something isn't right, or is this normal????

For example:
I open Launcher Pro
I click on top right corner to view calendar by MONTH and it does not work
I clikc on the PLUS SIGN (+) so I add an event and a windown with the title "Create event under account" appears and gives me 2 options:
-phone
- scorpion11@gmail.com)

so I add the event and then it FREEZES.........

SAME WITH PURE CALENDAR, THEY KEEP FREEZING ON ME SPECIALLY WHEN I TRY TO ADD AN EVENT OR WHEN I TRY TO VIEW BY MONTH

I get this message

"The process com.android.calendar has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Scorpion,

Try clearing your cache and then re-boot. How did you add Pure Calendar to your LP? Did you long press and then select widgets?

You might have to drag it down to the wastecan at the bottom of your screen and add it again. After you do, try restarting LP.

Also, do you have the Pro version or free? The free version isn't as good as the Pro, unfortunately. This is the only drawback of LP. The developer really want everyone to pay for it. Well, most devs do, eventually. LOL

The other thing is this:

I'm sorry if we have already addressed this issue, but did you 'freeze' canvas? That prevents a lot of the probs you are talking about. For example: If you had Pure Calendar or any calendar widget enabled on your stock launcher before you downloaded and enabled LP, it will still be running in the background slowing you down.

Again...forgive me if I am being repititious. I just can't recall every post. And we're getting really busy in here. :D
