Root launcher?

I think all that stuff is what makes an Android :/ I would might as well get an iPhone if I thought like that.
No my lil rican friend android isnt about 50 things on your phone that u dont need or use android is about functionality, reliability and performance, and productivity just like those kids that have 2,000-3,000 friends on facebook and only speak to 5- 10 people........ there are those that have 10 widgets to do the same thing and dont use the rest of them. In conclusion when u think u need it all in reality u dont. and trust me im a hard core android user me and mike and fuzzy do things on our phones that 90% of members in here would of never thought possible. im actually right now working to finding a way to do a partition to install backtrack on to my phone and yes its possibe with mobile devices and if u dont know what backtrack is ......dont ask not allowed to talk about it in the forum. so anyways back to the discussion if u feel that ur phone needs 50 widgets to make u happy then good for u, but i refuse to have a clutter phone full of unecessary fancy junk. just keeping it real.

Besides the one I use holo launcher I like using sslauncher and Sony Ericsson launcher those are my favorite :-)

Hey pnut where I can find the apk for xperia or the link to it there are a couple just want to try the one you use

I know that Android is about "functionality, reliability and performance", but I feel like the things that you mentioned, like; Transition Effects and Widgets are the things that separates Android from iOS. Because you can't say that iOS isn't about "functionality, reliability and performance" also. Maybe I read what you wrote, wrong. But I read it like them iOS fanatics that when you mention stuff to them about live wallpaper, transition effects, and widgets, all they say is "So? I don't need that stuff". But I guess; your phone, your choice.

if u jumped on the android wagon just for the eye candy that was the worst reason, see when a apple fan kid wants to rub his phone on ur face u gotta be prepare to tell them why ur with android and if u start talking about cosmetic superficial crap like widgets and transisitions u lost the war b4 it even began. now if u go deep within android and u show him your clock work mod recovery u show him even the new touch clock work recovery and ask him can u do this with ur apple phone and u know what hesa going to say? um no u show him that u can flash different roms and themes and mods and ask him can u do that with apple hes going to say no! u start showing any person on a iphone what we can do deep within our os you will show them what android is about but if u show them stupid widgets and apps and crap like that they will laugh. so in conclusion the real objective here is to educate apple fan kids about android not to compete in who has the most widgets. ;) when i got my first android phone i never expected to see a huge community of so many people i thought this phone was a type of phone u buy and leave it the way it is. i was wrong i learned so much by reading and trying out stuff that people would make and i dared myself to modify thing on my phone without knowing if i would have a working phone afterwards. ive yet to brick my phone lol i guess im used to reading directions more than 3-4 times jut to be sure. trust me pa u have something way better than a iphone. and in order ofr an iphone to even close to what we can do it would have to be jailbroken and have cydia installed just to be able to change its appereance :D

sorry to pull this one back on topic. I'm stuck between holo and adw ex. i just recently upgraded to adw ex from the free version and was immediately disappointed, the hidden dock bar is nowhere to be found it seems they integrated the sliding dock into the main dock bar like holo has (except infinite storage still when holo only lets you have 3 pages) and this was my favorite feature. i don't like a lot of garbage on my desktop and hate digging through my app drawer so this was my best bet and they got rid of it! are there any other launchers anyone knows about that has this feature or something similar?

I use the holo paid version and you can do a lot more than the free one but over holo is so far the best launcher for me, just my opinion.

i have the paid version of holo too, it is freakin sweet but still missing that hidden dock bar. that's what I'm looking for more than anything

It's pretty damn sweet. I'm sticking to it for a while.
Best thing you can do is install different launchers, mess with them, and pick the best one you liked. Not all do the same thing and have the same options.
Good luck.
