Root LauncherPro Root?

I'm having a realllllly tough decision in between getting the Dinc and the Droid X in 2 more days. Verizon has made an "exception" for me to upgrade early (since my contract date isn't up till 1/2/11), and I really want to make sure I get the right phone for me (not wanting to pay the re-stocking fee).

I know that you can root the Dinc, and root is STILL possible for X, but we'll see how long.

I really really want to get the LauncherPro, and I want to know if it requires root, or not?

LauncherPro is simply an app in the Market. No Root necessary.
