Root Launchers and apps

Right now I'm looking to make a change up to my custom rom, make it a bare bones system and when applying a replacement launcher provide alternatives to the stock HTC apps. The other launchers that are available are:
Go
Holo
Adw
Aosp
Ss
Rosie (sense)

For Rosie, I'll use htc apps (clock, calendar etc) and for go the go apps (calendar, sms etc).
For the remaining launchers what apps, clocks, weather, sms, widgets etc would people recommend that would compliment their look and style?? I have some ideas but I'd like to hear other people's opinions. Thanks :)
 
bw cost but has a few that I like (clock, weather) Havent used most of those launchers so its hard to say. Was thinking of trying NOVA

AFA other widgets I can say that I like a full month calendar on my screen. With all my appts coming up. I also like agenda view on the same calendar widget.

Nova is for 4.0+. I'm looking at GB, that's why I'm using Holo. ICS look but on GB! A full calendar...
 
Since you didn't necessarily tell us what you're looking for, GB, ICS or JB, Nova and Apex only work on ICS and above but I like Nova. For GB, my least favorite is Go launcher , my favorite is Holo launcher. I use HD widgets for clocks and switches. I use the standard AOSP calendar as my calendar as I never really found anything that stood out that was better, imo.

I really like ssLauncher as far as launchers go.

I'm changing up my current rom that I have cooked up. It's got the sense framework, but I'm looking to gut it, and allow for as far as possible, custom setups in the aroma installer.

It's a gb rom and what I wanted to know is what are people's preferences for replacement apps to stock applications.

I wanted to try and get applications to match each style of launcher replacement, and also they need to be available for free in the play store.

Ah, gotcha.
Cuz I was gonna suggest TSF Shell Launcher and the Pure Calendar Widget but they are not free...sorry.:(
But if I think of something, I will post.
I envy people like yourself being able to make their own rom. I can barely help people with existing roms!:p

I wouldn't call what I've done making a new rom. Not that talented, unfortunately:p
I take what is available and modify.

I'm still still learning...so maybe one day.
