Go to Phone, Menu, view (eye icon) there you can pick what you want to see.

Tried this but still no good. the only thing i have checked is google contacts (since thats what i made each contact) but still shows fb contacts with google contacts under "phone". This is the area where placed/recieved calls are located.

Download an app from the market called "dialer one" it is a new phone dialer that replaces the stock one, it is SICK I love the app!

You can change it diff colors, make your home screen background come up through the dialer, set what you want to see first when you hit phone, contacts, recent call list, or favorite, does lots more but check it out it's sweet!

Edit:
Forgot to mention not near as much lag and you can finally get rid of the vibrate, way better than the stock dialer! And no I did not make the app, I just think it's sweet!

go to your gmail account (https://mail.google.com) login, go to contacts (listed on the left side bar). Look at the first column (my contacts) is there anything that says or resembles anything facebook related? At the to where it says "my contacts" there is a number next to it, near the bottom there is "all contacts" with a # next to it. Are these #'s relativly the same?

Nope. It has my contacts and the correct # of contacts and says nothing about fb. Hmmmm..... I can and probably just delete them from the log its self.

I was having no issues until my last reboot.

Now the phone keeps getting the:

"Sorry! The application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

So I hit force close, it goes to the "loading" icon then the error pops up again...

Not cool man, not cool.

Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Do you have about 70 apps from the market? if so, go to settings, applications, and uninstall some.

No, I probably only have 10 or so apps installed. And even if too many apps were the case, I'm unable to get to the settings to uninstall any because of the error message. I get the error, hit force close, it shows the "loading" icon, then I get the error again...

Hmm..are you rooted? If so, perhaps posting in the "all thing root" sub thread will get some quicker help.

i try the market fix, but idk if it work, because idk any of the apps that are missing, can someone tell me some app that are missing to check if i have them???

try running the RUU again and let us know what happen!!!

I loved my Hero when I first got it, and then the newness faded out so I flashed Fresh 1.1 and fell in love with it again. Considering the great job all of the dev's do with this phone as compared to the stock ROM I've decided to just stick with dev Roms from here on in.

just installed everything working great but my phone seems to soft boot it's self every 10 min's or so mostly when ever i hit the menu button to wake it or when i plug it in to charge

I installed the RUU because I am totally ignorant when it comes to linux. It is running well. I can install terminal and run "su' command with no error so I assume the phone is rooted. Will tether apps work? I can't seem to get any of them to work except the ones that don't require root. I'd rather have a wifi root option that doesn't require anything installed on the computer. Do I have to root this thing further?

oh-- Mac user just for the record.

I have no proof of course, only my personal user experience, but I believe there's some cache memory management issues with the LEAK RUU after updating a stock ROM. And using SystemPanel or AutoKiller to clear cached data and apps helps for awhile, but so far offers no longtime fix. And for those who wanted their 2.1 now, now, now - now you know why Sprint was smart to delay it until the major kinks are worked out - they can't really tell their android phone users to "just go read the forums" ...

Hi - I'm a newbie when it comes to phones. So please bear with me.

I'm interested in downloading and installing the new operating system. What does "rooting" your phone imply? Also, how do I back up my phone in the event I need to restore it??

Welcome! Rooting implies gaining access to the root folders, like admin accesss on Windows. Here is a great place to start reading. All you need to know is in this thread.

If you find you need help, someone here will likely be able to help.

I am inclined to agree. Memory management is a problem i have noticed (i am assuming) and have to, HAVE TO, use an app killer to get my phone moving again. but it's second nature for me and does't bother.

t

i believe thats why sprint it taking their time on the 2.1 update. because its not working the same on all phones!! for example i dont have any issues,

BTW, Root Manager its on my market, iam guessing the market fix worked!!!

A lot of it is personal preference! I have done all the mods, hack, tweaks, and when it comes down to it no Dev has any proof that there Rom is better, or faster than the next, other than the pretty BS that they build into them! Flipzmode did a benchmark to all the Roms out and even included 1.5 and guess what it was right in there with the other and even beat the others in some category's.
So basically the only difference is a lot of those Roms is they now have live wallpapers running, which again to me is more of a gimmick than anything!

So again for me to do the 2.1 RUU I just wanted something that worked 100% of the time, without all the BS that Dev put into it! Being the Rom comes rooted I can still do most rooted thing and download apps made for rooted phones.

Anything else you need just ask!

Edit:
Here is the page to the benchmark!
[Benchmark] Sprint 2.20.651.1 Based Roms - xda-developers

I swear that poll was not there when I first started commenting in this thread, maybe just tired!
Anyway I voted for the RUU because of the reason I wrote above!

I voted For the Ruu Because iam lovin it, lolz, btw Roman, Was you able to do a Nandroid Backup. if so how>??

Nah, I gave up on that cause I figured theres not a lot I can't do with this one, since it's already rooted.

I have just been keeping track of the changes I have been making with trying to fix the BT issue!
