Root Let's Get CM Onto Avant!

May not be going into deep sleep properly with that kind of drain. Was it on standby in your pocket or were you on it alot?

Yea, battery is draining faster on cm. I also noticed that the multi tasking button doesn't work. You need to hold the home button. And rotation doesn't work. Along with the already reported camera, audio etc. Etc.

... I have the Galaxy Core LTE SM-G386W, I was able to flash all recoveries that were meant for the avant. And the slim rom that appeared on XDA.

Okay, i wiped/formatted everything and it booted and its at optimizing apps.
EDIT
Now starting apps. How long should this take? Cause I have waited for more than twenty minutes before

If your not flashing gapps then it should really only take maybe 2-3 mins.

Actually it shouldn't say"starting apps" or "optimizing apps" or "android is upgrading" at all. When you factory reset and do a clean install the only thing you should see while it is starting up is the boot animation. The fact that you are seeing these messages means that you haven't done a factory reset.

No, there was the cyanogenmod animation. AFTER that Android says upgrading. And in twrp i selected all of the resets/format/wipe ??

i'll take another look.

Wiped everything > flashed > wiped cache + dalvik > boot animation stuck.

Should I try it with CWM?
First flash the slim rom (or your stock), then try this method again. If it doesn't work do the following below.

Do me a favor and run a dmesg. I'll take a look at it.

I might have a theory... A lot of files from Samsung that might not have been in the slim rom are now here and that could POSSIBLY cause an issue? IDK.... It's strange.

I'll try flashing with CWM, and if that doesn't help, i'm out of options. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.
