43 MB for a launcher .That is horrible .My limit on ARM v6 is 16MB ..anything above is overkill .LPP and Zeam are lightest ..

VM already has 4G, or is it the area not having it yet?

I'm always unsure about boost....

VM has never had 4g... They've always had slow Sprint 3g and now they are getting slow Sprint 4g WiMAX.

Yes you have arm v7 phone dual core phone with 512MB+ RAM
on a Low end arm11 ,low ram phone ,50 MB for a launcher is quite a big deal ,
Launcher doesn't lag functionally .
But after you use a resource intensive app like a game ,the launcher startup is painful enough to notice .
