I restored my gingerbread and now I gotta flash ICS back on to test it........
I cleaned it out completely and rebuilt it just in case, because I kept building it, flashing it on, and results were the same each time so....

clean will just remove the object files in standard case .
What you say/did will make no difference really ..Its one and the same thing ..

So deleting the (only one) .o, editing .c (that renders into deleted .o) and typing in "make" would give me the same results as if I typed "make clean" before "make"?

Are you saying that browsing through files and deleting it yourself with "Del" on keyboard isn't the same as rm?
