Thanks for the confidence! I opened up, saw all kinds of things, came to the part where i hit the "home" button, and when it asked "what to use and setting as default" i FREAKED out!! LOL!!

Also, I obviously don't want the above warning to pop up EVERY TIME i press "home" ...so if i set LP as the default, how would I change it back?

Is there a way to use my current set up (meaning icons, programs, etc, on each of my windows) that I currently have set up on the default launcher, and mirrow them on LP, WITHOUT having to set them up again??

Simple way to switch back, get home switcher from the market. And I don't believe there's an easy way to mirror one launcher onto another. I always found when I changed, my setup was different based on the launchers functionality.

Thx!! But is there another way, without having to use another 3rd party app? And is the LauncherPro that I should be downloading, Beta?? Does that mean I should wait for an official one?

One more, lol, is keeping launcher pro on the DINC, but not using it, harmful? Will it mess with any other functionality??
 
Yeah, unfortunately you have to set everything up again when you try out a new launcher. The good thing is after about 6 times you'll be amazing at how fast you can get through configuring your phone. Also, HTC widgets only work in Sense, so you'll lose all of those which is why the Pure series is so popular. Also, one other thing I've noticed and is kind of annoying when setting up is that you can't move widgets between screens like you can in Sense. Not a big deal, just irritating when you just want to move stuff around.

Just don't hit the "set as default" button after hitting home until you know you like it. I kept mine like that for days. Even if you do set it as default, all you need to do is go into the app under manage apps and hit "clear defaults". Seriously takes less than a minute.

Don't worry about it saying Beta. There's plenty of people running it and it appears to be very stable. I haven't had a single issue.

This question has been asked about 3x in this thread.....(not bashing you...read on)

I think from this point on it should be required if your posting a Layout, you should have to include ALL widgets per screen shot. Too many posts asking "what is that". I realize that someone coming in may not look at all 13+ pages, and it's hard to "search" for something that is not text (i.e. image). I think in the long run it should help everyone out.

I am inquiring on how to insert a post at #1 postion to explain guidelines on posting layouts. I will add these as well:

Can we all come to some sort of agreement that we NOT quote 4, 5, 6, 7+ screenshots when we only have a questions about 1 or 2 of them? It's really annoying to have to scroll for days and days unnecessarily.

When you're quoting a post you can edit what is quoted to get rid of the screenshots that you aren't referring to.

To all those contributing these AWESOME layouts. If time permits, please edit your previous posts to include:

What each widget/app on each screen of your layout with a link to APPBRAIN / APK or even if STOCK HTC Sense. (some do not realize some of these are stock).

Once the OP updates Post #1 all posts maybe deleted that do not follow this.

I am a victim (in the first few pages) of asking what an app was and it was mentioned 2x prior and I did not see it. I just think with the time spent on capturing the shots, it would be very helpful to others to have this info handy when reading the post. Also it will cut down on replies significantly.

Any help with my question abt only PURE widgets working with LBP? also can they be downloaded as a package or do u have to dl one by one?

That's odd....I can move mine perfectly fine between screens with LP. I do have to get to the very edge of the screen.... a little finer line than with Sense. Still works beautifully though.
 
I have asked the mods to see if this thread can be stickied. If anyone is against this please let me know, and I will rescind my request. (I just lurk this thread but have found it to be extremely helpful to myself and others)
